About our Metrology Masterclass Trainers & Industry Leaders:
- Tom Harper from Harper Metrology – Thomas Harper is the founder of Harper Metrology, a consulting firm dedicated to assisting laboratories in achieving their full potential through top-tier consulting, training, and other services. He holds a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from the University of Utah and has over 25 years of experience in the metrology industry, including roles at Hart Scientific and Fluke Calibration across the United States, United Kingdom, and the Netherlands. In addition to his roles at Hart Scientific and Fluke Calibration, Thomas serves as a laboratory assessor for BELAC, INAB, and RVA. Beyond his professional endeavours, Thomas is also a sourdough bread baker. He will be leading our sessions on Temperature calibration, Traceability Chain and the Primary Lab.
- Noel Heary from Irish Power & Process – Noel was the owner of Irish Power & Process for 14 years, combined with 35 years supplying instrumentation and calibration products to Ireland’s manufacturing industry. He was instrumental in the design and development of the Insacal Conductivity Calibrator and in the earlier stages of his career, in pH sensor manufacturing. He will be leading our session on pH & Conductivity Calibrations.
- Carel Adolfse from Glind Metrology – Carel started his professional career in pressure metrology in 1985 and set up his first quality management system in 1988 in accordance with the predecessor of what now is known as ISO/IEC 17025. Since that time he has maintained and expanded the accredited pressure laboratory with a wide pressure range from a few pascals till 500 MPa (gauge and absolute) with very small uncertainties. Besides managing the laboratory, he also conducted many installations and training projects in the EMEA region. Carel established Glind Metrology B.V., specialising in EA accreditation, uncertainty analysis, and metrology training after nearly 30 years with Minerva Metrology and Calibration. He will be leading our session on Pressure calibration.
- Shaun McNamara from TE Connectivity – Shaun has been with TE Connectivity for 25 years as a Facilities, Maintenance, and Calibration Specialist. He has a vast knowledge on temperature sensor manufacturing and calibration. He will be leading our practical session on Temperature Bath Maintenance.
- Kamal Mahajan from GEO Calibration – Kamal Mahajan, CEO and CTO of GEO Calibration has focused on manufacturing, custom design and systems integration in mechanical and electronics sectors for the commercial, industrial and mil-aero sector. For 2 decades, Mahajan has built a leading reputation in system design of temperature and humidity controlled chambers for Relative Humidity probes and temperature humidity testing. With custom designs utilizing Watlow microprocessor programming control-lers and now specialized microprocessing features utilizing Atmel’s ATMega644, Mahajan has been sought after to integrate and collaborate on temperature/humidity chamber integration with numerous national labs and industry leaders in calibration. He will be co-leading our session on Humidity Calibration.
- Bruce MacArthur from GEO Calibration – Bruce has been with GEO Calibration Inc. for the past 18 years, now serving as its Vice President. He will be co-leading our session on Humidity Calibration.
